Chairman of the Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has said that there are up to 5 million Nigerians in Sudan.
She said many had been there for long and had settles there.
Dabiri-Erewa said this in an interview with Channels Television as monitored by Phenomenal.com.ng.
She noted so while explaining why it was not possible to quickly evacuate the compatriots as the political violence in Sudan escalates.
According to her, there are thousands of Nigerian students there, promising that efforts were on to evacuate all of them at the same time.
