Sen. Teslim Folarin, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Oyo State, has canvassed massive votes for Sen. Bola Tinubu, the party’s Presidential candidate and other candidates in the 2023 general elections.

Folarin, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Local Content, spoke on Wednesday at a Town Hall Meeting organised by a popular radio station in Ibadan.

He called on the electorate to ensure that Tinubu get nothing less than a million votes in the state,

Folarin, a three-term senator and former Senate Leader, said that only the former Governor of Lagos State, has the magic wand to lead the country to “eldorado”.

He said that for the country to overcome its challenges at all levels, there is need for restructuring and that only Tinubu could make it possible.

“A popular magazine has projected Tinubu to win the Feb. 25 presidential election in the country and we must make sure that Tinubu gets no fewer than a million votes in the state.

“Without restructuring, it will be difficult to achieve anything at all levels of government in the country.

“Tinubu knows we need to restructure the county to unite and make things work,” Folarin said.

He urged relevant stakeholders to join hands in proffering solutions to the myriads of challenges facing the country, adding that government should not be left alone to find the needed solutions.

The former Senate Leader described Tinubu as the best of all the presidential candidates in the county, assuring the people of more prosperous nation.

He urged the party members to ensure “an all-round victory” for all the APC candidates in the state, adding that this would guarantee greater working relationship at all levels.

Folarin, also described Tinubu as the most competent, mature and prepared of all the candidates.

According to him, his antecedents, as well as track records as Governor of Lagos State singled him out of the pack.

NAN reports that among the professional associations in attendance were Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR); Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC); Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and Federation of Women Lawyers.

Others were Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Civil Society Organiations, artisans and several other trade associations in the state.

NAN reports that Folarin was accompanied by the State APC Chairman, Mr Isaac Omodewu, notable party chieftains and candidates.
