The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has recalled three suspended students who were involved in various cases of alleged misconduct.

Their recall from suspension is contained in a statement on Monday in Calabar by the Registrar of the institution, Mr Gabriel Egbe.

Egbe said that their recall followed the approval of the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee dated Dec. 14, 2022, which did not find them culpable of the allegations levelled against them.

”It could be recalled that Flora Okon and Queen Lazarus, of the Department of Social Works, were placed on suspension over the alleged presentation of fake receipts in support of their application to writing supplementary examinations.

”In view of this, they have been recalled from suspension and cleared to take the supplementary examinations.

”In the same vein, Sarah Douglas-Haward of the Department of Radiography, who was suspended from studies and her position in Man-O-War over acts of indiscipline/misconduct has been recalled.

”Douglas-Haward is to resume studies with effect from the 2020/2021 academic session.

”Deans of the affected Faculties and Heads of Departments are to fully restore them to the university,” Egbe said.
