Although Ghana have bowed out of the World Cup, the qualities displayed by their star, Mohammed Qudus, have captured the heart of former Super Eagles player and coach, Sunday Oliseh.
As he watched Qudus play in Qatar, he identified some 10 strengths he displayed, and he cannot stop talking about it.
Oliseh says, “Just watched Mohammed Kudus, a superstar on which Ghana can rebuild a top Black Stars team. A skillful, fast, creative, humble, strong, sharp, shooter, hardworking with leadership “on pitch” qualities.
Meanwhile, he has saluted African teams that have largely demonstrated zeal at the tournament, especially Morocco and Senegal, which qualified for Round Two:
“The Euphoria here in Qatar is infectious as my in-laws, Morocco, achieve a historic second round World cup qualification. First, Senegal now this. What a World Cup for Africa with African coaches! I feel more is coming,” Oliseh said on Twitter.

Mohammed Kudus (born 2 August 2000) plays as a midfielder for Eredivisie club Ajax and the Ghana national team.
He arrived at Danish club Nordsjælland from the Ghanaian Right to Dream Academy, which he joined at the age of 10, in January 2018 together with two teammates, Ibrahim Sadiq and Gideon Mensah.
Kudus made his official debut for Nordsjælland only three days after his 18th birthday, in a 2–0 defeat against Brøndby IF. He played from the first minute as a striker, but was replaced in the half-time. With his debut, he became the ninth youngest to make his debut in the history of the club.
On 16 July 2020, Kudus signed for Eredivisie club Ajax for €9 million, on a five-year contract. He made his official debut for the club on 20 September in a league match against RKC Waalwijk. Head coach Erik ten Hag subsequently called Kudus as a player with “incredible potential”. He continued his strong performances, scoring one goal and providing three assists in his first three appearances. His debut in the UEFA Champions League for the home match against Liverpool on 21 October 2020, however, it was unfortunate. Kudus was subbed out after only six minutes, as he suffered a meniscus injury, keeping him out for several months.
On 7 September 2022, he scored his first Champions League goal in a 4–0 win over Rangers.
