Senegalese goalkeeper, Eduoard Mandy was far from being the man of the match they played against England on Sunday, which saw them booted out of the World Cup as the latter cruised to the quarter-finals.

This can be a euphemism for Mandy’s low show as he hardly had any spectacular safe for the team.

The three goals by Joan Henderson, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka, were great ones, but an iconic keeper might have blocked at least one of them.

But it must be acknowledged that the England boys’ firepower was far compelling than te Senegalese players’.

This put a lot of pressure on Mendy, who had over the years proved his mettle even also at Chelsea.

Anyway, Senegal are going home with some pride as they were able to scale the first round hurdle, where the mighty like Germany fell.

Besides, they were without their main star – Sadio Mane – just as they proved sceptics who never gave them any chance wrong.
