Brazilian maverick striker, Neymar, has revealed the pain he went through after his team lost to Croatia in their quarter-finals match at the Qatar World Cup.
According to him, he was paralysed for 10 minutes after the deadly final whistle.
Reflecting on the loss, Neymar says he is psychologically shattered.
Neymar, who hit a historical feat by equalling Pele’s 77 national goals, says:
“I am psychologically destroyed. It is definitely the defeat which has hurt me the most, which left me paralysed for ten minutes after the match, after which I burst into tears without being able to stop,” Neymar said in an Instagram message.
“It is going to hurt for a very long time, unfortunately.”
He, however, notes that ailing legend, Pele, is inspiring him to keep playing.
