There is an update on how acclaimed gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, died.
Contrary to initial reports, he did not slump before his death.
According to one of his aides, Hillary Vincent, he died in his sleep.
In an interview with ‘Sunday Punch, Vincent notes: “It is not true that Sammie slumped and died. That report is false. At the right time, the family will set the records straight. But, I can tell you authoritatively that he did not slump. Rather, he just did not wake up from his sleep.

“As regards the funeral arrangements, the details will be made known by the family. But right now, they are still in grief and mourning the departed singer.”
The Welu Welu singer passed on on Friday in his Lekki, Lagos home.
This happened only months after the country lost another top entertainment brand, Bisi Bandele, director of top films that include ‘Elesin Oba’ by Mo Abudu.
