Scholar and politician, Prod. Pat Utomi, has tried to play down the blessing that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, received from the Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
Fasoranti had blessed Tinubu when he visited him and other Yoruba leaders two days ago, as a form of endorsing his candidature.
But Utomi said it was only a predictable gesture when politicians visited elders, saying he too would be treated the same way if he visited the elder states man.
He said this on Tuesday while speaking on Channels Television.

According to him, it is the endorsement of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, by another Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, that matters.
Utomi further said Obi would win because the upcoming election would, according to him, be disruptive.
“What is happening now in Africa is that all the candidates that had been branded ‘Internet candidates’ (like Obi) are winning. It has happened in Kenya, Zambia and Malawi and it is going to happen in Nigeria too,” he said.
