The Youth Wing of All Progress Congress (APC) in Osun, on Thursday, vowed that the state is for the party at all times.
The youths held a solidarity rally in Osogbo for the party’s presidential candidate, Sen. Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the youths, who gathered at Ayetoro area, marched through the state capital to Gov. Gboyega Oyetola Campaign Office on Osogbo-Gbongan road, singing solidarity songs.
Addressing the youths, Oyetola expressed happiness with their turnout in support of the party’s presidential standard bearer and his running mate.
“As I was returning from my travel, I said it is important I stop and address you all.
“Osun is for APC, anytime, any day; be rest assured.
“I am happy with your turnout for this rally. APC has not done official campaign flag-off but we will soon do it.
“May I, however, say that Osun youths have done their own unofficial campaign flag-off for Tinubu and Shettima. The whole world is seeing you all now.
“We in Osun have done our unofficial campaign flag-off for Tinubu and Shettima. We are No. 1.
“Tinubu’s government will be a government of the youth. He wants to serve, because he is an accomplished man,” he said.
Oyetola enumerated Tinubu’s achievements and legacies while he was the governor of Lagos, stressing that he (Tinubu) had the plan and capacity to turn the fortune of the country around.
According to the governor, with the turn-out of the youth and their support, one million votes are already secured for APC in the state, come 2023.
