It has been a mixture of excitement, singing, dancing, expression of hope, gridlock, defiance on Saturday as supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, hold their rally in Lagos.

From Ikeja to Lagos and Lekki, where the rally is holding, the supporters are seen exhibiting different forms of excitement while hoping Obi will take over in 2023.

Some negative sides to this, however, include the gridlock the rally is causing, especially in the Lekki area where the followers are marching on the road in defiance of police warning that they should keep off the ENDSARS venue viccinity.

Sharing a video on Twitter, a tweep, @Nkemchor posted, “The police presence at Lekki did not stop youths from gathering. Very proud of this generation. If Lekki is your route join them!”

@eklepatience tweeted, “All we want is a genuine leader that’s ready to serve Nigerians we’re not asking for too much nah just give us Peter Obi. Festac Lagos is Obidient.”

But some supporters of Obi’s opponents, especially All Progressives Congress’ Bola Tinubu, are mocking the rally online, saying the mass is scanty, arguing that it is far from the 4 million they promied.

Besides, they noted, they wondered why the rally could not hold in Obi’s Anambra State where, they claimed, secessionist agitators would not allow them.
