As the Peoples Democratic Party still grapple with the Nyesom Wike-led rebellion caused by skewed distribution of posts, the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has appointed Chief Dan Ulasi as Technical Adviser on Contact and Mobilisation (South East).
Abubakar, in a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, also appointed Dr Don Pedro Obaseki as Media Presidential Consultant.
The appointments, according to the statement, are with immediate effect.
It described Ulasi, who hails from Anambra as an experienced politician who had served PDP in different capacities, both in Anambra and at the party’s national secretariat.
The statement said that Pedro is a seasoned media personality from Edo, with rich experience in political communication.
Wike, the Rivers State Governor, is at the head of a group asking the PDP’s Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, to resign.
The reason is that both Ayu and Atiku are northerners.
The party has, however, not been able to get Ayu resigned or pacify the Wikes.
