– Kylian Mbappe joined Christophe Galtier at a press conference held ahead of the Champions League match between PSG and Juventus.

– It was an opportunity for him to talk on a wide range of issues including an alleged witchcraft plot against him.

– He was questioned about the Paul Pogba affair, in which the latter’s brother Mathias claimed that the Juventus man had hired a witch to put a spell on Mbappe.

– “He called me and gave me his version of events,”Mbappe said.

– “Right now it’s Pogba’s word against his brother’s. I prefer to trust my teammate’s word. I prefer to trust the word of my international teammate.”

– The Parisian forward however insisted on the importance of a good start to the campaign.

– “This match is important for a club like ours. We want to start the European competition well at home. It’s up to us to play a good game tomorrow to continue this good run,” he said.

– “My role hasn’t changed since last season. I’m still trying to play well, to be decisive and to win as many titles as possible.”

– Much has been made about his relationship with Neymar, and gave a curious response.

– “It’s our sixth year together,” he said. “We’ve had periods of being best friends, and others of talking less.”

– Part of the row is said to be over who should be the first choice penalty taker at PSG.

– “When you play with players of the calibre we have, you have to learn to share,” he said.

– “Being designated the main [penalty] taker doesn’t mean I have to take all the penalties.”
