As Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, continues to savour what some observers have called his golden political moment, he is reportedly set for another meeting with the All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in London.
In recent times, the UK star city has become like another political capital for Nigeria, with politicians holding strategic meetings there concerning 2023.
At the centre is Wike, whom all parties want because they need potentially decisive votes from the Rivers/Niger Delta zone.
He has met with Tinubu before, but they are said to be set for another meeting, especially after his demand that the Peoples Democratic Party’s Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, resign is not bearing fruit.
Wike is said to be in London already with his allies, Samuel Ortom of Benue State and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.
They are expected to be joined by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, who is currently on vacation abroad.
