The Saints Community Church has stepped up its evangelism in Ile-Ife, Osun State, and its environs.

Ife is a significant town in Yorubaland and in the country in general.

It is the host of the legendary Obafemi Awolowo University, while it is also known as the source of Yorubaland.

The church was thus inspired to take the word to the old and the young, and it said it was a successful mission.

Speaking about the great commission in a meeting held on the 24th of July at Aquarium event centre, Parakin, Ile Ife, the Pastor of the Church, Segun Onayinka, said the ministry Jesus committed to every believer was not just to reach out to the lost but also to make them students of the word.

According to him, the process of making a believer a student of the word entails regular visits to teach the word, giving instructions and assignment after every teaching, introducing him or her to all church meetings, and caring for his or her natural needs.

The Pastor said that the first week of the month would be used to reach out to new people in their numbers while the other weeks of the month would be use solely for discipleship.

Members believe that with this instruction followed, the church at Ife will be able to raise more ministers of the gospel not only in Ife but also in its neighbouring towns such as Ede, Ilesa, Ipetumodu, Modakeke, Osogbo, Gbongan, Ijebu jesa etc.
