The menace of ritual killings appears getting worse as another person has been caught with a fresh human head.
This is 28-year-old man, Ismail Adewuyi, found with a freshly-cut woman’s head and intestines in the Ede area of Osun State.
The problem is widespread but police and other stakeholders may think it is more rampant in some parts of the country than others.
Some have, for instance, argued that while insurgency and banditry are the bane of the North, ritual killings and Yahoo Yahoo ae more rampant down South.
There is, however, the need for a more scientific approach while people should not fall into labelling trap.
Police spokesperson in Osun, SP Yemisi Opalola, stated in Osogbo that the suspected ritualist was arrested on Saturday by one Isa Usman, a member of the Nigerian Hunters Association who took him to the police.
She added that Adewuyi was arrested by the hunter around at a cemetery.
Opalola stated also that police had started interrogating the suspect.
