A frontline governorship aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Rotimi Bolufemi has expressed deep sadness over the death of the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr) Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi III, OON. He described him as a patriotic royal father and peace builder.
In a press statement made available to newsmen in lokoja on Friday, the aspirant said over the years he had watched with keen interest the way the royal father has excellently administered his domain and related to other people in the state peacefully and described him as an admirable exemplary royal father.
Bolu stressed that the peaceful reign of the royal father and the achievements recorded during his reign was as a result of his gentle disposition, commitment to robust love for his people and his fervent belief in unity and development of the state.
While condoling with the family of the royal father and the people of lokoja, the governorship aspirant prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the Maigari and prayed to God to grant him eternal rest
