Popular artiste and actor, Folarin Falana better known as Falz, has opened up on some reasons that made him attend church services while he was still young.
In a Netflix documentary titled Made In Lagos: Africa, Falz spoke on his life, career, inspiration and the impact his father, Femi Falana, has on the society.
He revealed that he used to go to Anglican Church of Ascension in Opebi, Lagos State because a friend informed him that there were fine girls there.
The artiste-activist said he was never in the church choir but he used to play drums in church at a point in his life.
According to him, almost every place he went to, people always had good stories to tell about his dad.
He said most of the stories dwelt on Mr Falana saving people in difficult situations both in school and everyday life.
The singer also talked about his mum being very disciplined and trying to instil it in her children.
He said that his father was a hero and he did not necessarily need to fit into his shoes, but he had succeeded in his chosen field and now had bragging rights.
Falz further revealed that the late Afrobeats pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti , was a huge source of inspiration while growing up.
He recounted times his father would be driving them out in his Peugeot and Fela’s records would be played in the car stereo.
