Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has reflected on his experience when he joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God at its 70th Convention.
He was received with ovation at the programme holding on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Obi is not the first presidential aspirant to seek the blessing of the church, visiting the General Overseer, Pastor EA Adeboye.
He may have, however, made some history with the ovation his presence attracted despite the fact that he was not politically introduced/
Reacting to the reception on his Twitter page on Saturday evening, Obi said he was humbled by worshippers at the RCCG>
He wrote, “Sharing moments of true worship last night with a great congregation at the RCCG Convention was a special experience of joy, strength and love for me.
“I was humbled by the warm welcome, but above all, I am grateful for the opportunity to be in the midst of the brethren. -PO”.
