Vice President Yemi Osinbajo may have finally set to demonstrate support for the All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The reason is that he is set to have a meeting with other presidential aspirants on August 31.
This is coming a day after President Muhammadu Buhari said he would support the party’s candidates in 2023 as it was the same [party that gave him the platform to become President.
Osinbajo competed with Tinubu, in a battle that threatened the bond that hitherto existed between them.
He was known to be his associate, if not a godson, having allegedly been nominated as VP by Tinubu, whom he also served with as Justice Commissioner in Lagos.
A statement issued on Thursday by the media team of APC’s youngest aspirant, Dr. Nicolas Felix, disclosed that virtually all the aspirants who participated in the last presidential convention would converge in Abuja next week.
The statement partly read, “The special invitation to the strategic meeting of all 2023 APC presidential aspirants, which will be held at Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 by 2pm is to brainstorm on adopting winning campaign strategies that will carry every Nigerian along and address the challenges bedevilling our country.”
