Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has given his perspective on the controversy generated by the Muslim-Muslim combination of the All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
He said he had no problem with such as, according to him, the country’s agenda goes beyond that.
He said, “Muslim-Muslim ticket. Is that our problem now?”
Noting that he would soon begin to speak on such and other political matters, he revealed his stance on Friday afternoon during the inauguration of the legislators’ quarters his government built in Port Harcourt.
Although he denied taking the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to court as reported in the media, he has been romancing members of the ruling All Progressives Congress for some time.
His special guest at the inauguration was, indeed, APC’s Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
He, however, said he invited Gbajabiamila because of the role he played in making the Federal Government to pay Rivers State the money it spent on federal projects.
