– Kylian Mbappe is one of the 30 players nominated for the 2022 Ballon d’Or and he has spoken about the award, explaining who his favourites to win it are.

– The French forward believes Karim Benzema has a great chance of winning the individual honour, while Mbappe also spoke about how so many Real Madrid players win this prize.

– “My top three? I’d say Benzema, myself and Sadio Mane,” Mbappe stated.

– “Benzema just had the season of his life at 34 years of age, being decisive in winning another Champions League.

– “If he doesn’t win it, I’ll stop believing in the Ballon d’Or forever.

– “Real Madrid are a Ballon d’Or machine, you have to admit that.”

– He went on to speak about his chances of winning this prize one day.

– “It’s important to keep my feet on the ground, but I’m convinced that one day I can win the Ballon d’Or while at PSG,” he said.

– “It’s hypocritical when players say they don’t care about the Ballon d’Or, as we all think about it.

– “We speak about the team and the collective because that can camouflage our ambition, but it does matter if you’re being honest.

– “I was previously happy with just being among the top 10. Now, I’m regularly among the top four or five.”
