Plateau State Governor, has said that his mandate is about the entirety of the people in the state and not that of a particular religion, especially Christianity.
According to him, when he was nominated to be governor, he was not nominated as a Christian but as the candidate that could deliver for the state.
He said this while responding to his appointment as the Director General of the Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Organisation.
He was unveiled for the job in Abuja on Thursday.
He was responding to the controversy of the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC’s presidential duo.
According to him, what matters mostly is good governance.
He said, “I was not nominated as a Christian. I am the governor of Plateau, because when trying to come in I didn’t say I was a governor Christians. I am governor of Plateau not of Christians.”
