– The Canadian rapper gave his idol the flowers he deserved right on stage.
– Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, and performer, Aubrey Drake Graham, popularly known as Drake, did not hold back in lauding his idol and award-winning rapper, Lil Wayne, in an emotional moment on stage.
– Drake, who had initially postponed his “OVO Fest” due to COVID-19 complications, eventually held the event on Saturday, August 6th, 2022, making it what is described as a “Young Money Reunion Concert”, which saw Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj share the same stage performing together.

– Young Money performers such as Mack Maine were also in attendance.

– The rapper took some time to acknowledge renowned American rapper Lil Wayne for his contribution to the success of his career while performing the event at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Canada, which can accommodate 16,000 people.

– As for Nicki, he called her the greatest as well — but perhaps in the female rap setting. In her case, he actually scoffed at any notion that any other femcee is close in status … saying NM is the originator and the best to ever do it. That, too, is obviously controversial.

– At the same event, Lil Wayne rekindled excitement for Tha Carter VI during his performance.
– At the end of the star-studded show, Lil Wayne interrupted Drake’s farewell speech to reveal his Tha Carter VI album is on the way. “I’m working on Carter VI, coming soon!” he told the crowd.
