The management of the Redeemed Christian Church of Gas has called for calm after a gas station exploded on Monday, causing scare as it is beside the Redemption Camp in Mowe, Ogun State.

The scare is compounded by the fact that the fire is close to the Camp’s turbine.

But the church is repeatedly making an announcement to assure residents that the fire has nothing to do with their territory.

An official of the communication unit is heard using the loudspeaker to do this, saying the Lord is ever ready to protect His own.

The Redemption Camp is a city on its own, with many facilities that include the mega church, many residential estates, many bank branches and other corporate establishments.

It is modern with enviable infrastructure that include beautiful roads and regular electricity supply as it generates its own light – the type not available in places controlled or owned by Nigerian governments.

It is one of the legacies of the revered General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor EA Adeboye.

As of 1pm when the reporter of Phenomenal.com.ng visited the camp, it saw the church’s fire service men racing to the scene of the explosion, in a new and modern service vehicle.
