Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers on Saturday is currently enjoying limelight.

And it is the rare type.

He lost his ambition to become his Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidature – and still lost the opportunity to become the running mate to the winner – Atiku Abubakar.

Yet, instead of sinking into oblivion, he remains the bride for the PDP and opposition APC and Labour Party.

He had, all along, left many people to wonder what he would say or do concerning the suitors dancing around him.

Now, he has said he would soon “speak out” on recent happenings in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the country.

He will then likely declare what next in terms of which party to go with.

Wike disclosed this in a statement by Mr Kelvin Ebiri, his Special Assistant on Media in Port Harcourt.

He said it had become pertinent for him to speak to Nigerians about all that had transpired in the party since the emergence of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as the presidential candidate of the party.

According to him, “On Atiku, I will speak soon and Nigerians will know the actual truth of all that has transpired in the PDP in recent times.”

The moment seems very sweet for him but sages know it is also a delicate one.

He needs to choose right and ultimately want go with the winner to get himself a safe future as he will soon be out of the Governor’s Lodge.

Now, the question is: Who wins? Which party will win?

One can only hope he encounter the right prophet?

He needs a seer who can decipher the future in spite of the intriguing indices of religion, tribalism, hunger for change, youth and electoral renewal as well as hopelessness colouring Nigeria’s nearest future.
