The Movement for Election of Nigeria President has described the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, as a fanatic when it comes to pursuing people’s welfare.

The group felicitated Obi as he turns 61 July 19, 2022.

The group said in a statement on Monday the group’s National Convener, Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme, said: “It is on record that he prudently and selflessly utilised public fund for the public good, that while leaving office, he left N75 billion, while his contemporaries incurred huge debts.

“Since he left office in 2014, he has rendered unequal humanitarian aids and services in all the geopolitical zones of the country.

“His belief that leadership is call to serve and not to be served singled him out as a rare and unique personality and gift from God to serve and helps humanity.

“He is selfless, contented and fanatic when it comes to welfare of the citizens.

“As you mark your birthday, we pray God to tremendously bless you, protect, guide and guard you with more wisdom, good health and wealth in the years ahead beyond your highest hopes and expectations through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

“The best and greatest birthday gift Nigeria and Nigerians should give Obi is to elect him President during 2023 presidential election, as he is not only passionate about rescuing Nigeria, but most importantly, he has the wherewithal to transform, rescue, redeem, restore and revamp socioeconomic status of the country for better.

“Wishing him more fruitful, prosperous and progressive years ahead beyond measure, especially actualising his desire to serve and salvage our dear country as production, self-sufficient and self-reliance economy.”
