Although Governor Adegboyega Oyetola won in the Ila-Orangun unit of the All Progressives Congress elder, Chief Bisi Akande , his fiercest opponent, Ademola Adeleke, put up a fruitful fight.

This is at the unit 12, Ward 4, Isedo I, Ita Atewogbade in the town traditionally famous for wine production, where Oyetola got 140 votes while Adeleke secured 117.

This is despite the fact that Akande’s son, Oluwafemi Akande, is also the Commissioner for Justice in Oyetola’s administration.

Indeed, at the adjacent polling unit 11, ward 4, in Ita Atewogbade, the Adeleke, who is the Pepople Democratic Party’s candidate, beat Oyetola, getting 75 as opposed to his 63.

The drama however gets more interesting at the nearby Ojude Abalagemo, where the APC also bounced back with160 votes more convincingly higher than PDP’s 116.
