A Shari’a Court in Kano on Wednesday ordered that a 25-year-old man, Rabiu Yusuf, for allegedly stealing an iPhone iPhone 6 Plus be remanded in a correctional centre.
Yusuf, who lives in Gidan Ashana Kantin Kwari Market, Kano, is charged theft.
The Presiding Judge, Malam Ismai’l Muhammed-Ahmed, adjourned the matter until July 21, for mention.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Abdullahi Wada told the court that the complainant, Abdulaziz Hassan, who lives in Fagge Ammani Inuwa Quarters, Kano reported the matter at the Fagge Police Station, Kano, on July 4.
Wada alleged that the defendant at about 10p.m. entered the complainant’s fashion shop and stole his t iPhone six plus worth N62,000.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 133 of the Kano State Shari’a Law
