The courage to raise the alarm an Ogun State-based man his Sallah ram.

Three men had invaded Sodiq Abolore’s home in Ogijo and untethered the ram he bought for N120,000.

He raised the alarm, leaing to the arrest of two of the three suspected criminals: Adetunji Alagbe and Opeyemi Ogunlokun .

Alagbe and Ogunlokun were said to have broken into a pen housing a ram, pulled down the steel gate and took the animal away around 3am on Tuesday after unhinging it from its tether.

Police Spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi, who disclosed this to newsmen on yesterday, said the suspects would be charged to court after investigation.

He said: “The owner of the ram reported that while he was sleeping in his house at about 3am, he heard an unusual noise in his compound which made him to peep through the window, only to discover that the iron gate he used to block the entrance where he kept his Salah ram has been pulled down. This made him to come out, and discovered that his Salah ram which he bought at the rate of N120,000 was no longer there.

“He stated further that when he searched around, he saw three men forcing his ram into a waiting Mazda car boot, which made him to raise the alarm, and a distress call was made to the police.

“The three men were chased, and two of them were apprehended, while the other one escaped. The ram was recovered, and the two suspects were taken into custody.”

Oyeyemi said the commissioner of police, Lanre Bankole, had ordered a thorough investigation of the case before charging the suspects to court.
