– Zlatan Ibrahimovic has accepted a huge wage cut to stay at Serie A champions AC Milan next season, signing a one-year deal.
– The Swedish striker is currently recovering from a knee injury and faces a recovery time of around six months, which could account for the agreement on a reduced salary.
– Official figures have not been released, but it is believed that the 40-year-old has taken a significant cut to stay with the Rossoneri.

– Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claim that Ibrahimovic’s salary will drop from seven million dollars to 2.5m dollars, a huge decrease for the veteran forward.
– This isn’t the first time he has shown himself willing to make sacrifices for AC Milan, as he played much of last season with pain in his knee. It is that knee issue which he has now been operated on and which will require months of rehab.
– AC Milan fans will no doubt appreciate the player’s commitment to the cause once again. After putting his body on the line and prioritising the Scudetto charge over his own health, he has now accepted a significant salary cut in order to stay with the team.
