As Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, clocks 57, he has revealed the latest development in the principles guiding his steps.

Among others, he says, he has learnt not to be too hard on himself.

Sanwo-Olu became the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in 2014/2015 after the party dropped Akinwunmi Ambode, who could not get a second term.

Although Ambode got a pass mark in achievements, he was said to have been low in carrying along the political establishment.

Sanwo-Olu, however, seems to have been able to manage both sides of governance has he has secured the candidature for term number two.

In some tweets in which he reflects on his life, he notes:

“Thankful for 57 years of Amazing Grace.

“I am thankful for the will to embrace a life of service, possess a heart of compassion and to see a setback as an avenue for better things to come.

“I have also resolved;

“To continue to live a life of service.

“To not be so hard on myself (my heart is in the right place, and I always mean well).

“To give without expectations.

“To work conscientiously, selflessly and tirelessly, like no one is watching.

“So help me God. Amen.”
