– Los Angeles FC are desperate to make waves in the transfer window this summer, with the MLS side close to get the signing of ex-Real Madrid player Gareth Bale over the line.

– The Los Angeles side, who currently have Carlos Vela leading their line, are in the final stages of completing a deal for Bale.

– MLS expert Tom Bogert has said that Bale and LAFC are in the final stages of their and are close to agreeing a one-year deal, which would run until June 2023.

– “Bale is a free agent after his contract with Real Madrid ends, and a source said that the deal will not take up a designated player position, leaving LAFC with one still open,” Bogert said.

– “The agreement will be for 12 months and run until next June.”

– Bale shone with Tottenham in the Premier League after joining from Southampton, and was then sold to Real Madrid in 2013. There, he won five Champions Leagues, four Club World Cups, three LaLiga Santanders, and three Copa del Reys in nine seasons.

– The Welshman scored 106 goals and added 67 assists in 258 games for Los Blancos.

– Carlos Vela and Gareth Bale will have ex-Juventus star Giorgio Chiellini as their teammate in LA as well.

– As things stand, LAFC are top of the Supporters’ Shield table with 30 points from 15 games.

– Bale and Chiellini will officially join on July 7, meaning they could debut against the LA Galaxy on July 8.
