COCIN gets new vice president

The Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), has inducted Rev. Timothy Nwan, as its new Vice President.
Inducting Nwan on Sunday in Jos, Rev. Amos Mohzo, President of the Church, said that the new vice president was elected at its 101 General Church Council (GCC).
Mohzo, who described Nwan as a dedicated and committed servant of God, added that the new vice president had served the church in various capacities.
He called on members of the church to accord the new vice the desired support and cooperation to enable him succeed in his new assignment.
In his acceptance speech, Nwan thanked the Church for finding him worthy to serve as its number two member.
He promised to be faithful, just and fair to all, adding that he would support the President toward the growth and progress of the church.
”My duty as vice president is to advice and support the President; therefore, I will discharge this function to the best of my ability.

”I will stand by the truth at all times and justice and fairness will be my watch word.
”I will support the president in order to see to the growth and progress of COCIN in its bid to spread the gospel of Christ,”he said
In a brief remark, the Deputy Governor of Plateau, Prof Sonni Tyoden, congratulated the new vice president over his inauguration.
Tyoden, who commended leaders of the church over a peaceful election that produced the new vice president, advised politicians in the state to emulate the Church in conducting elections into public offices.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event had in attendance former governor of the state, Jonah Jang, and other dignitaries.
