Actor Yul Edochie has gone philosophical about the backlash he is getting after marrying a second wife.
According to him, the attacks are a signal that he is going somewhere higher.
According to him, people are abusing him about the marital step he took because they don’t know the reason he took the step and because they don’t live with him.

Indeed, he believes he is being subjected to all of this because God is preparing him to be Nigerian president.
He says in a post:
“GOD IS PREPARING ME FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL SEAT OF OUR COUNTRY NIGERIA.
IN THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS I HAVE BEEN INSULTED BY PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD WHO DO NOT KNOW THE REASONS FOR MY DECISION.
I HAVE BEEN ATTACKED BY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND THAT EVERY ACTION TAKEN HAS A ROOT CAUSE, PEOPLE WHO DO NOT LIVE WITH ME AND MY FAMILY THEREFORE THEY WILL NOT KNOW WHAT INSPIRED MY ACTION.
HAVE I INSULTED ANY OF THE PEOPLE INSULTING ME? NO.
HAVE I ATTACKED ANY OF THEM? NO.
I HAVE REMAINED CALM.
THAT’S THE QUALITY OF A LEADER!!!
GOD IS PUTTING ME THROUGH ALL OF THIS TO PREPARE ME FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL SEAT OF NIGERIA.”
Meanwhile, he has also given his perspective on the way of God.
He argues: “The ways of God are different from the ways of man.
We cannot fully understand him no matter how much we try.
We can only grasp a little of it when he wants us to.”
