– Sadio Mane looks set to have played his last game for Liverpool, with his words after the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid sounding very much like a goodbye.
– The Senegal international still has a year to run on his contract at Anfield, but has been heavily linked with a summer move to Bayern Munich.
– “I would like to thank the fans for everything and the coach too. I wish this team all the best in the world,” said Mane after the game on Saturday.

– Just days earlier, the 30-year-old had said he would give an answer on his future after the final. Perhaps we already have it.
– German champions Bayern have been reported to be very keen on Mane.
– There is still nothing official one way or the other, but Mane seems to be looking to life beyond Liverpool.
– On Sunday, May 29, the journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the forward is looking to depart the Reds.
– “Sadio Mane has decided to leave Liverpool this summer,” he tweeted.
– “He’s ready for a new experience after many special years with Reds – it will be confirmed to the club.
– “FC Bayern are strong contenders – but it’s still open and not completed as Sadio wanted to wait for the final.”

– With his contract up next summer, Liverpool would likely prefer to sell Mane now, rather than lose him for nothing in a year’s time.
