The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) has reiterated its commitment to contribute to the education and other sectors of the Nigerian economy via its knowledge and skills development training.
Mrs Bisi Adeyemi, President, NBCC, gave the assurance in a communique at the end of the chamber’s Learning and Skill Development Week on Friday in Lagos.
Adeyemi said the five-day capacity building programme was a brainchild of the Learning, Education, and Training (LET) Committee of the chamber.
She said it afforded participants skills in four focal areas of entrepreneurship & business, management, communications and digital/technology.
Adeyemi said participants benefitted free coaching by the International Coaching Federation and some were awarded 500 dollars worth of training courses by dbrown Consulting.
“The objective of this programme is a way for the Chamber to contribute its quota to knowledge and skills development, thereby adding value
to its members and potential members.
“This is a first at the Chamber and we are excited at the potential impact we will achieve at the end of this training,” she said.
Mr Seyi Adeyemi, Chairman, LET Committee, described the programme as an avenue to reflect the various varieties of skills development.
He said the programme was also an opportunity for networking and establishing acquaintances with individuals, businesses and organisations.

“Facilitators were drawn from leading member and non-member organisations such as; PWC, Intense Digital, SBI Media, StreSERT Integrated Services Limited, Workforce Group, DCSL Corporate Services Limited, ACT Foundation, JSK Consulting Group, Kaizen Academy and others.
“It was a very enriching experience which I am sure would impact the Nigerian learning environment by and large, the country’s education sector,” he said.
