Member representing Awgu South Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Mr Johnson Chukwuobasi, said he would love to be remembered for his legislative contributions during his time as a state legislator.

Chukwuobasi stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Wednesday, adding that his legislative contributions had attracted meaningful developmental projects to his constituency, including the renovation of Mmaku Cottage Hospital.

The lawmaker said he would continue to give quality representation to his people, as a way of justifying their entrusted mandate on him.

On the University of Education, Ihe, the first-time lawmaker stressed that he would do everything within his powers to ensure that the university commenced academic activities, and thanked his colleagues for supporting the passage of bill establishing the institution.

The operation of the university, according to Chukwuobasi, will open up Ihe as well as other communities in Awgu to more development, which is the reason for the agitation of the establishment of higher education institution in the area.
