The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Adamu, has led thousands of Muslim faithful to observe the Eid-el-Fitr prayer, as Muslim prayed for peace, unity and stability in the country.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Eid-el-Fitr cecelebration signaled the end of the 30-day Ramadan fast observed by Muslim faithful across the globe.

NAN also reports that the prayer, which was led by Alhaji Bala Baba-Inna, the Chief Imam, Bauchi Central Mosque, was attended by thousands of Muslim dressed in colorful attires.

Baba-Inna who prayed for peace, unity and prosperity in the country, urged Muslim to imbibe the teachings of Ramadan fast, uphold the spirit of togetherness, neighbourliness and love for one another.

The prayer was attended by Gov. Bala Mohammed, Secretary to the State Government, Mr Kashim Ibrahim, Chief of Staff, Aminu Gamawa, Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman, among others.

After the Eid prayer, the Emir of Bauchi would host the governor and other dignitaries to a colourful durbar as part of activities to celebrate the Eid.

NAN also reports that the Sallah celebration was generally peaceful in the state.
