No fewer than eight persons have been discovered dead from a collapsed building in Ebute-Meta, Lagos.
Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, Southwest Zonal Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), confirmed this on Monday.
NAN reports that the eight dead persons include five males and three females.
An old three-Storey building collapsed at N0 24 Ibadan Street, off Herbert Macaulay Way, Ebute-Meta on Sunday night at about 10.56 p.m.
Meanwhile, 23 occupants of the building were rescued, as rescue operations continue at the sit.
Lagos experienced a major building collapse last year when Fourscore’s high rise went down in Ikoyi, killing over 40 people.
