The National body of Fuji Musician Association of Nigeria (FUMAN) has warned against using the picture of late Alhaji Isiaka Iyanda Sawaba on Facebook to dupe unsuspecting members of the public.
The FUMAN National President, Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde, popularly known as SK Sensation, gave the warning in a chat with newsmen on Friday in Akure.
Ayinde said those using Sawaba’s picture to perpetrate fraud on Facebook were heartless and should expect the wrath of God.
He alleged that the attachment of Sawaba’s picture on a Facebook page (Big Brother Naija 2019 Pepper Dem Gang) on Thursday was “fraudulent and dubious.”
“The person attached to the post is Alhaji Isiaka Sawaba, popularly known as Easy Sawaba, a legendary Fuji musician who died on April 5, 2022.
“Some people are using the deceased Fuji icon’s picture while in coma to dupe the unsuspecting masses.
“Easy Sabawa was buried the following day on April 6, due to the lateness in releasing his corpse from the University Teaching Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, Oyo State, according to Islamic rites,” he said.
He explained that the post would be reported to Facebook authority and proper legal action would be taken against the perpetrator.
He, however, urged the general public to disregard the ungodly act by those he tagged as ‘satanic human beings’.
The FUMAN president, therefore, once again commiserated with the deceased family, and the members of FUMAN, both home and in the diaspora.
The Ibadan-based Fuji musician died at the age of 71.
