Sen. Uche Ekwuinfe, representing Anambra Central in the National Assembly, has called for quality home training of the children to forestall insecurity and social disorder.

Ekwuinfe made the call during a one-day peace-building and insecurity summit, organised by the Anambra
Government, in Awka on Saturday.

She called on parents and guardians to make out quality time to teach their children core morals, values and culture so as to imbibe progressive attitudes that would kill social insecurity in all its forms.

Ekwunife said that the National Orientation Agency (NOA) should intensify efforts to enlighten the public on the need and benefits to be objectives and law abiding at all times no matter the provocations.

“NOA needs to be empowered seriously to comb all the grassroots door to door to inform them on the need to be patriotic citizens,” Ekwunife said.

She urged all to engaged in neighbourhood watch to alert security operatives nearest to them once any suspicious movement is noticed within their spaces.

“Security persons are not spirits as such they cannot be at all the places at same time.

“We should see reformation of the state as a collective effort where all will put in their best to achieve greater per cent of security and social development.

Ekwunife assured that they at the federal legislative Chambers would partner the state in objective process for the common good of the state.

She commended Gov. Charles Soludo for his ingenuity in inviting all Anambra stakeholders, irrespective of their political parties, to partner him.
