– Ronaldo and his 28-year-old partner Georgina Rodriguez announced on Monday night one of their newborn twins had died.
– They said in a heart-wrenching statement: “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.
– “Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
– “We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.
– “We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.
– “Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
– Despite United’s devastating 4-0 loss to Liverpool on Tuesday, the moment of the match came in the 7th minute.
– Both sets of supporters rallied behind Ronaldo and his family with a minutes applause.
– Liverpool fans also sang ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ in a touching message.
– Speaking after the game, a proud Klopp said: “It was a real show of class and of course, all our thoughts from the moment we heard about it were for Cristiano and his family and I can’t even imagine how it must be.
– “We really feel for him.”
