Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has said that no leader or member of the Peoples Democratic Party has been killed since gunmen have been wreaking havoc on the state.
According to him, all the victims have been members of the All Progressives Congress, the ruling party.
He noted in an Easter message on Sunday that in the past days, a chairman and secretary of the APC were gunned down, adding that a woman leader had also been killed.
He thus noted that the motive behind the violence was suggestively motivated.
But he warned that they gunmen dare not go for ‘government’, saying they would meet their waterloo.
He then urged them to in the spirit of Easter, repent.
Imo State and some other parts of the South East have continued to witness sporadic violence.
Only about three days ago, gunmen invaded a polling area and opened guns on innocent people, killing two in the process.
