Kwara Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has charged newly recruited personnel of the corps to serve the nation with all their might.
The State Commandant, Mr Makinde Ayinla made the statement in Ilorin on Monday while addressing the newly recruited personnel.
The commandant said that the personnel should see the opportunity given to them as a privilege to serve their father’s land.
“Considering the current security challenges in the country, you should know that it is a privilege to be part of security architecture in the country.
“Take every lecture seriously, as it will be of great assistance to you in the future and at the same time be faithful and loyal,” he said.
Ayinla said that the personnel should change their mind set from being a common civilian to someone ready to defend the unity of the country.
He, however, said that they should not look down on any civilian, saying that nobody was above the law.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 269 male and female personnel have resumed duty at the command.
