– Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will host and produce this year’s Billboard Awards, 25 years after he first won an award from the music publisher.

– Music mogul Sean Combs who is formerly known as Puff Daddy and P. Diddy (and occasionally known as Dr. Jinx to It’s Always Sunny fans) is set to host and executive produce the 2022 Billboard Music Awards set to take place on May 15, 2022, at the MGM Arena in Las Vegas.

– The music icon took to his social media platform to make the official announcement in a video. Billboard.com also reported that the icon has promised that the event would be one to remember in 2022.

He said:

– “This will be unlike any awards show – I’m bringing the love and setting the frequency at an all-time high.”

– Diddy who was part of the executive producers of the Grammy award-winning ‘African Giant’ album would be returning to the show for the first time in 25 years and the event would be graced with performances from top acts like Burna Boy, Megan Thee Stallion and so on.

– Nominees include Olivia Rodrigo, Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), Taylor Swift, Wizkid, Justin Bieber, BTS, The Weeknd, who leads the pack of male nominees with 17 nods, Doja Cat, whose 14 nominations make her the leading female artist, and many more.

– The show airs May 15 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
