Senior pastor of the Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has offered what he believes is the solution to phone abuse by children.
This is as a result of the sex saga of the Chrisland schoolgirl, which has caused a lot of fear and controversies.
Ibiyeomie who spoke during a service said a parent shouldn’t buy phone for a child not yet in the university.

He urged parents to buy landlines for them, not mobile phones.
He said:
“Don’t buy a phone for any child who has not gone to the university.
It may sound very awkward. I know you’re too civilised but don’t do it.
David, I refused to buy him a phone till he got to high school.
I told him that he would never use a phone toll you enter into the university.
He told me thank you, I know the meaning.
Don’t buy a phone it’s not civilisation.
Phone and tablets, many things pop up.
They can use your own. Let then use your own phone. It’s your phone.
Buy la andline, put it in your parlour. Say every child you’re free, use it. Let them use it. They will not agree. Stand your ground. That’s what I want.
You’re now buying Apple phone for a twelve year old child, you say you’re civilised.
Thank you.
I like it like that. ‘Make my boy dey use Apple phone.’
