– Alte singer, BOJ is out with his sophomore studio album, ‘Gbagada Express‘.

– Nigerian singer and songwriter, Bolaji Odojukan, popularly known as BOJ, makes a big return as he dishes out his highly anticipated album titled “Gbagada Express”.

– BOJ’s third solo album, written and recorded amid the most limited phases of 2020’s lockdown, finds the alté pioneer and DRB Lasgidi alum at his most collaborative yet contemplative.

– The project (named after the main highway in the area) serves not just as a transmission from his home, but also as a medium for a genuine relationship to it—a difficult concept for an artist who was born in London and reared in Lagos and has spent most of his adult life commuting between the two.

– BOJ’s journey of greater self-expression, aided by a similarly diverse group of collaborators he gathered during a lockdown songwriting camp, mirrors what he sees as the evolution of the alté scene—a term he and fellow DRB alum and longtime collaborator Teezee coined in their 2014 track, “Paper,” to describe a sound and a lifestyle that can’t be pinpointed.

– The star studded album features Wizkid, Davido, Mr Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Buju, Fireboy, Darkovibes, Amaarae and many others.

– Reviews of the singer’s album are already rolling in and they are on the positive side.

– Music lovers have taken to social media to express their opinions about the project, with most of them commending the alternative singer for his effort on the album.
