There is renewed fear that bandits/terrorists may have killed another 11 Nigerian soldiers.

This, according to TVC, is a result of an assault allegedly launched on a military formation in Brinin Gwari in Kaduna State on Monday evening.

This happened about a week after a train loaded with passengers was attacked in the same state by terrorists who killed some of the passengers, injured many and kidnapped many more.

Although military authorities have yet to speak on the new reported tragedy, it will be recalled that terrorists had also last year attacked the Nigerian Defence Academy, where a casualty was also recorded.

In recent times, Kaduna has been witnessing incessant attacks by the insurgents.

Many believe it is as a result of the state government’s stance not to pay ransom to terrorists and bandits.

Governor Nasir el-Rufai has, however, retreated the policy, as he believes paying the attackers amounts to empowering them and making the problem linger.
