Ms ChiChi Ononiwu, the Founder of Beulah World Initiative (BWI), an NGO, has reiterated her commitment to influencing the society through humanitarian services in the country.
Ononiwu, spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Wednesday following the award of recognition she received for the first time in life from La Roche Leadership Foundation.
She described the award as a surprise and a call to do more for the people adding that it was her first time of being given an award.
“I didn’t know that another organisation was taking record of our activities in human capacity buildings and outreaches; I was surprised but happy that our little best has given birth to this lovely award.
“It was a wonderful moment when I stood to receive the award. I feel encouraged. We will give in our best to promote decent and quality of life in communities, even beyond this nation.”
Ononiwu said that the organisation would intensify effort in area of its engagement such as community impact projects, medical outreach, skills development and education support.
According to her, in the course of outreach programmes, they observed that some remote villages do not have access to good water, and so they put plans in place to run a borehole for them.
She also expressed appreciations to the Founder/CEO of La Roche Leadership Foundation, Mr Akin Ambode and the Administrator/Legal Practitioner, Mr Marina Osoba, for the awesome surprise.
“May God continue to expand your coast and that of your organisation for all you do to see humanitarian efforts and its leadership thrive in Nigeria, Africa and the world.
“We also appreciate the leadership of the Global Goodwill Ambassadors (GGA) under whose auspices this award was hatched, keep the good work going, she added.

Meanwhile, Ambode said that the award was in recognition of efforts and sacrifices made by BWI in the area of humanity and community development, saying, ” we are impressed with such selfless services”.
