Seasoned actress, Ifemeludike, is not taking it easy with a colleague of hers, Mary Njoku, for saying she is ready to collect money in exchange for vote in the forthcoming elections.

Mary Lazarus recently gave her opinion on this, saying if any politician granted her money so she could vote for them, she would collect the money because it is hers.

She says she won’t end up voting for them, though.

Ifemudike, who is not pleased with the position, wonders how Njoku would do.

She wrote (SIC):

“Some people we celebrate in this country shows we have a long way to go.

How can a public figure encourage citizens to collect money from polithieftians in exchange for vote?

In a functional society she could be arrested for promoting unpatriotism and encouraging corruption.

Vote buying and selling is an electoral malpractice that indirectly disenfranchises the ignorant and greedy masses,

It is also grossly undemocratic.”

But Njoku had said she would gladly collect the money (SIC):

“If any politician gives me money to vote for him/her….

I will gladly collect the money….

Na my money…

Especially the ones way don rule before….

But I go use my head vote.”
